Samonella Poisoning

Well, one of the challenges of being a parent is monitoring every move your child makes. Memorial Day was a great day, and Elizabeth loves to try new things. This is especially true when she gets an opportunity to help mommy in the kitchen. Whether that means to help put dishes away or put groceries away she loves the satisfaction that she was helpful. So Memorial day morning she loved the opportunity to help mommy make breakfast. I let her scramble the eggs before cooking them. At dinner time, she wasn't allowed to help, but she watched mommy make chicken. During one of those two encounters, somewhere she contracted samonella poisoning.

The symptoms started late Tuesday night and continued all the way until Sunday. The easy part was not feeding her, she was never hungry. The hard part was keeping her hydrated.

At one point, Grandma Lauri reminded me that she just loved the Dairy Queen Artic Freeze that she once shared with her. I drove to DQ to buy the 2.00 drink that she eventually sipped down.
